LAKES
Trnovačko Lake is at foot of Maglić and Volujak , at far northwest of Montenegro. The lake is difficult for access and can be reached from Plužine and Foča side, with several hour hike in both cases. For this reason, it is mostly visited by trekkers, but also fishermen, as the lake is teeming in high quality fish.Trnovačko Lake is at 1517 m, around 600 meters in diameter and is heart shaped varying at its depth. His dark green color is enchanting makes it looks like an emerald tucked in the surrounding mountains. Its shape and an impressive surrounding make it probably the most beautiful lake in the region. Perućica, one of the last primeval forests in Europe in the near proximity

Crno Lake on Zelengora with its 1450 m is surrounded by mountain tops Orlovac at 1962 m, Orufe and Orlovača at 1959. The small lake, due to its strong inflow of fresh water is teeming in trout. It is 85 m long and 60 m wide. The highest depth is around 4 m. It is perfect for fly-fishing, as it is overgrown in reed during the summer.

Bijelo (White) Lake is onZelengora, located around 500 m south from the Crno Lake, and it is also called Zeleno (Green) Lake, for its color. It is surrounded by the peaks of Orlovac, Orlovača and Trebova mountains. The lake is of round shape in the diameter of 40 m, depth of up to 3 m and is on 1416 m. One can not find fish in it.

Gornje Bare Lake on Zelengora, 1.5 km away from Donje Bare Lake to the northwest, is around 200 m long, 100 m wide, and up to 3 m deep. It is on 1,515 m and surrounded by the peaks of Tovarnica (1683 m) and Uglješin vrh (1859 m).

Donje Bare, a lake on Zelengora, is around 200 m in length, around 140 m wide, and the depth up to 4 m, is located on 1475 m. Surrounded by the peaks of : Ardov (1723 m), Planinica (1874 m) and Mala Siljevica (1720 m). It is around 20 km from Tjentište and dirt road can take you all the way to the lake. It is fish-stocked with Californian trout.

Borilovačko Lake is the only man made lake on Zelengora. Surrounded by the tops of Kalelija (1977 m) and Stog. It is around 250 m in length and 100 m in width. It is on 1450 m. The lake is fish-stocked with Californian trout every year. It is 24 km from Čemerno 24 km and a dirt road can take you up to the lake.

Kotlaničko Lake on Zelengora, on 1528 m, is with a magnificent landscape an is one of the most beautiful lakes on Zelengora. It is teeming in fish, especially Carr (salvelinus alpinus), and is home to endemic amphibian of triton. It is surrounded by the peaks of: Dumoš (1882 m), Prutača (1817 m), Klek (1899 m) and Zimovnica (1742 m). In length it is around 300 m, and in width around 350 m. The depth is up to 10 m. You can reach it by driving on a dirt road from for 21 km towards Orlovačko and Borilovačko Lakes with another 2 hours of walking on a larked trail going left from the road.

Štirinsko Lake, the biggest lake on Zelengora, is around 600 m long, 350 m wide, and up to 4.5 m deep. It is on 1672 m and is on one hour walk from Kotlaničko Lake. It is surrounded by the peaks of: Dumoš, Todor (1949 m) and Osredak (1828 m). It is rich in Carr (salvelinus alpinus). In the near proximity you can find around 80 of stećci, medieval tombstones.

Kladopoljsko Lake, also called Martinovo vrelo, after a spring, 500 m from the lake, is located on the western slopes of Zelengora, towards Kalinovik. It is on 1380 m, it is 250 m long, 100 m wide, and up to 9 m deep. It is rich in trout, as a mountain brook is feeding itwith fresh water. The lake is a paradise for fly-fishing, as during the summer the shallow parts of the lake are overgrown in water lilies. The access is from Kalinovik village of Obalj, located on the road to Ulog.

Orlovačko Lake on Zelengora is around one km from Borilovačko Lake and is on 1438 m altitude. On the east side of the lake come Orlovac i Orlovača, southeast Bregoč (2014 m), south Stog (1821 m) and north Ljeljen (1766 m). The lake is around 250 m long, 120 m wide and up to 4.5 m deep. You can find trout, carri fish stocked with californian trout.

All the lakes on Zelengora are within the Sutjeska National Park, except for Kladopoljsko, which is under the management of Sport Fishing Club "Ulog" from Ulog.
