Perućica Forest
Sutjeska National Park

Primeval forest Perucica is a part of "Sutjeska" National Park. It is surrounded by the peaks of Maglic (2386m - the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina), Volujak (1978m) and Snjeznica (1804m). Perucica forest is separated from Zelengora Mountain by Sutjeska River and its beautiful canyon. The forest is 6 km long and 1 to 3 km wide. It covers an area of 1291 hectares. The Perucac creek goes through the forest and it spectacularly falls down a 75m high cliff (Skakavac waterfalls) More info.....

TARA RAFTING

Recreational whitewater rafting on The Tara River began in 1964. Prior to this the river had only been used for commercial transportation of logs. Today, Tara Rafting is a combination of unforgettable relaxation and adventure. The level of attractiveness for rafting of the Tara River is from 3 to 5 which places this river in "the most attractive rivers in the world category" alongside Colorado and Zambezi rivers.
Rafting is performed in rubber boats, specially designed for wild waters. The boats can accommodate 8 - 10 people. We provide a full rafting gear for our customers including boots, diving suits, life belts, helmets and rain coats if needed.

The most important member on the boat is the skipper. He steers the boat and also acts as a guide during the whole trip. Our skippers are well trained professionals and they are certified by the IRF (International Rafting Federation).

The skipper will familiarize the participants with the river and the rules just before the departure. You will be thought all the skills necessary to get you safely to the final destination. The participants can carry take their photo equipment (it will be stored in waterproof barrels during the "wet and wild" sections of the trip). Regular photo brakes are planned at all attractive spots on the Tara River. The length of the trip is closely related to the level of water. In May when the water level is at its highest point the whole rafting trip takes around 45 minutes. In August the same trip lasts 3 - 4 hours.

Tara Rafting experience will be an unforgettable holiday, a break from your routine day to day activities and above all a challenging adventure that should not be missed. Please and select your adventure.

"The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare to let go. Our true work is this voyage, this adventure."
Richard Bach

"What makes a river so restful to people is that it doesn’t have any doubt -- it is sure to get where it is going, and it doesn’t want to go anywhere else." Hal Boyle

"Let the mountains talk, let the rivers run. Once more, and forever." David Brower
